Project Report Format

You should prepare a short but complete report describing your project and the results. Below are the indications of how to prepare your report.

Introduction:
Give a short description motivating and introducing the problem that your report addresses, in your own words.
Methods:
Briefly describe the approach/tools you used to solve the problem. Include some information on what kind of equations the computer tool solves, what assumptions it or you are making to solve the problem, etc. If you needed to derive some equations, dimensionless parameters, etc. before you could perform the final analysis, include them here.

Results and Discussion:
Present the results of your analysis in an appropriate fashion (i.e., tables or graphs or whatever method is most useful for conveying your information). Make sure to describe and interpret the results. You should draw general inferences from your specific results, and if possible, compare and contrast the results (to each other or to simple theories). If you include graphs, tables or figures in your report, be sure to include a figure or table number for each and refer to them by number (e.g., “the influence of temperature on ___ is illustrated in Figure 3”).

Summary/Conclusions:
Briefly describe the most important findings from your analysis. Also consider what implications this might have on combustion or combustion systems.
